Fulfillment Provider Routes Vendor Invoices into NetSuite
Quick Summary
Tigris Fulfilment Partners, an Atlanta 3PL, emails its vendor invoices, purchase orders and bills to an AI workflow that classifies each document, extracts the fields, matches invoices to POs and posts the result to NetSuite. The team saves about 40 hours a week and accuracy rose from roughly 70% to over 95%.
The Use Case
As Tigris added e-commerce clients, the paperwork grew with them. Staff downloaded each attachment, figured out what it was, keyed the data in, matched it to a purchase order and uploaded it to NetSuite, with accuracy around 70%. After comparing Textract, ABBYY, Kofax and Rossum, the company set up a Nanonets workflow. Documents are forwarded by email, classified by type, run through five custom extraction models, validated against the PO, and posted through a webhook. Only low-confidence fields wait for a one-click human approval.
Real Example
- A packaging supplier emails an invoice and the related PO confirmation
- The workflow classifies one as an invoice and one as a PO
- Vendor, invoice number, line items, totals and terms are extracted
- The invoice lines are cross-checked against the PO; one quantity mismatch is flagged
- An analyst approves the flagged field with one click
- A webhook posts the bill to NetSuite with the source PDF attached
Why It Matters
- About 40 hours a week saved on document handling
- Processing time per document down 80%
- Accuracy up from about 70% to over 95%
